Rest, Relax, Recharge & Grow at High Grange

As the season of outdoor cooking and dining is in full swing, we have also been working on our wellbeing offering, to give you the chance to come to High Grange to relax and renew. We have been working really hard on our gardens this year, with a new secret sensory garden, several new no-dig veg beds, and a woodland wildlife garden, so our guests can wander the different areas and feel instantly calm. A selection of our events are below - but full details including all our regular yoga and breathwork classes can be found on our wellbeing page.

Mindful Gardening

We’re aware of the beneficial mental health aspects of gardening - getting your hands in the soil and spending time in nature. But it isn’t always easy to do, if you don’t have the space or the knowledge to grow.

So join Lindsay Freeth, The Mindful Gardener, for hands-on courses in our beautiful growing spaces at High Grange. The 2 week Introduction to veg growing is the perfect course for those looking to start growing their own veg but lack knowledge and confidence or those with experience but struggling to to see results from their growing.

And in the 5 week mindful gardening course, you’ll learn new skills in growing veg, flowers and fruits.

Introduction to Veg Growing with Lindsay Freeth - Wednesday 17th & 24th May, 10am to 1pm (£70)

Breathe Relax Grow! A Mindful Gardening Course with Lindsay Freeth - 5 Weeks Wednesdays 10-12pm from 7th June to 5th July (£100)

The Sacred Pause

We all seem to have forgotten how to rest - being constantly “on call” on our phones, and living a busy fast-paced life that few can handle. So The Sacred Pause is an invitation to slow down, work out what your body is telling you, and take time to rest and figure out how to manage the month ahead. Rebecca is a breathwork practitioner, reiki master and workshop leader, and will guide you through a session of journaling, relaxation and breathwork to recharge you for the month ahead.

The Sacred Pause with Rebecca Baker: monthly Sundays 10am - 1pm (from Sunday 4th June - £45)

The Moon Sessions

Gemma Norris is a bodywork practitioner at the Axminster Health & Wellbeing Centre, and she is trained in fascia release and massage, as well as reiki. She comes to us monthly with her movement meditation - an embodied practice of meditation, movement, reiki and journaling, to find your inner magic.

The Moon Sessions with Gemma Norris - Harnessing the Power of Your Rising Feminine: Wednesday of the new moon, 10-11.30am (next session tomorrow Wednesday 19th April - £20)

We are not quite ready to announce our next venture but it will be coming soon so please keep an eye out. We’re keen to invite both men and women to seek retreat with us - we pride ourselves on being down to earth and practical, while dipping our toes in the spiritual, all in our beautiful woodland space. Whether its eating beautifully cooked seasonal food, doing a creative workshop or coming for a yoga class, we want you to leave feeling a little bit better than when you arrived.

If you’d like to know more or have any questions about which class or course may suit you, please do email me as I’m happy to help point you in the right direction - sara@highgrangedevon.com.

We hope to see you soon
