The HG Steak Masterclass

We’re running only our second ever Steak Masterclass on Friday 5th May.

It’s called ‘The Perfect Steak’ and by the time you leave you’ll not only have eaten (lots of) the perfect steak but you’ll also be able to source AND cook it. This class is really special to me for lots of reasons - not least because the first bbq class I ever taught was a steak masterclass at Alastair’s brilliant London Barbecue School. His faith in me is no small part of why we’re doing what we do now…

Anyway… we also have the best steak in the world. That’s not hyperbole- I’ve eaten wagyu, I’ve eaten beer fed Dexter, I’ve eaten Galician cattle, rare over coals in a San Sebastián sidereria… My beef from Meat Matters Ltd. is the best I’ve tasted. It’s a four hour course, you’ll eat constantly and sit down to feast at the end. Ghillie the lab will plead for scraps and we’ll light lots of fires, cook lots of steak and open some nice bottles. We’ll also do sides, sauces, and veg.

We’ve got perfect 5* Tripadvisor reviews for our Fire School and we’re heading to an awards ceremony at Nancarrow Farm in a couple of weeks to find out if we’ve won the title of best cookery school in the West (we’re down to the last 4). Wish us luck!
