This Weekend's Takeaway & March Events

Right, we’re back after a child-induced half term break down. Solidarity to all the working parents out there…. As I teased last week out takeaway this week is inspired by Karan Cook’s stunning restaurant and accompanying book Hoppers The Cookbook which was a regular haunt for me when I lived in London… it’s a love letter to Sri Lankan home cooking and street food and I want to cook and eat everything in it. Buy it.

We are lucky to have as a friend and neighbour ‘Mr Goat’ himself James Whetlor from Cabrito Goat Meat.. He’s personally delivering me an ex-dairy goat tomorrow that I’m going to marinade and roast and smoke over one of our fire pits, then smother with A gorgeous curry sauce. The most vibrant, fresh beet curry, gunpowder potatoes and a tangy pineapple achcharu (relish). If that sounds up your street book now for collection on Friday and Saturday.

I’ve asked Karan to do some cooking with me this summer at High Grange so if we can make it work keep your eyes peeled… will be amazing…

March Feast Night - Friday 10th March

Spring is definitely in the air and our March feast will be outside in our woodland dining area once more, with beautiful lighting from the brilliant John Newton of Lyme Lights.

We’ve only half the tickets left so book in soon.

March Wellbeing

We have not one but two new yoga classes starting this month. Ella McConnell’s Vinyasa flow at 9.30am on a Tuesday, and Barbara Mella is doing a Slow Flow at 5.30pm every Tuesday from the end of the month.

The Spring Equinox Retreat is sadly fully booked, but we’re hoping to host another of their retreats later in the year and we’re delighted to say our first High Grange retreat will be on Saturday 24 June!

Emily Wilkins is also doing a Chanting & Mantra workshop on Saturday 4th March at 3-6pm.

Check out our wellbeing page here.

Fire Schools

Our Fire Schools begin again outside this month with our Full Day on Friday 17th March and our Half Day schools on Friday 24th and Friday 31st March. You can book here.

We’re also delighted to be teaming up with the brilliant Dorset House BnB in Lyme Regis to offer a bespoke Fire School and midweek “Fire and Sky” stay on 2-5th May. More soon!

Enjoy the Spring in your step and see you soon!
