Beanie, Gerald & Geraldine
One of the most enchanting aspects of our High Grange events is the opportunity to dine beneath the stars. In Blighty this is a rarity but last week the stars were aligned for another SOLD OUT Summer Supper and it really was exceptionally beautiful. Guests dined on a whole lamb tikka asado (this may be the first of its kind!), smoked aubergine dhanzak, saffron basmati rice, smoked beets raita and HG rainbow chard (saag) aloo. The evening began with onion bhajis, chicken tikka, popodums & loads of sauces and our latest cocktail creation, HG lemon verbena hooch. To finish up there was mango parfait with burnt pineapple and cardamom cream. It was a veritable feast indeed.
We’ve sold out of all of dining events for the summer but we have got our Christmas Feast dates on sale so if you’re planning ahead then get in quick!
NEWS FROM HG
We have ducklings and a chick! Some months back Sara volunteered to rehome some ducklings from Skye’s class teacher and these little beauties have arrived. And one of our HG chooks has laid a chick. The HG kids have named the ducks Gerald and Geraldine and the chick, Beanie. Aren’t they adorable?
OUT & ABOUT
We’ve been pretty rushed off our feet lately with Luke teaching chefs about BBQing at various locations (Titchbourne Arms in Sussex is a brilliant pub if you’re in that neck of the woods) as well as catering for private parties and staff away days here at High Grange, oh and a few weddings across the South-West thrown into the mix too!
We’re getting booked up for 2025 but if you or someone you know is looking for exceptional wedding or party catering or a staff away day then do get in touch.
