Easter Events at High Grange
Easter is our favourite holiday bar none.
Every year, we go away with the same family who have similar aged children. Its a long weekend of hedonism and food. There isn’t the build up or let down of Christmas, its always an unexpected, and relaxed, pleasure. For adults, the chance to rest, walk and eat the Spring larder - fresh lamb, Spring veg, wild garlic and asparagus. The kids get to rest during a long two week school break and run round hunting for chocolate eggs. The whole long weekend is about friendships, new beginnings, nature beginning to burst full of life again, toes tentatively twitching in the first annual outing of Birkenstocks, and the sun encouraging the occasional bare leg on show. The weather is better and there’s no Auntie Mildred moaning about Christmas telly.
We’ve been meaning to do an Easter lunch for years and finally we have found time, so we invite you to come here, wander the gardens, see if the Easter bunny has been, and have a happy, hearty lunch. We’ve all manner of other events too - please do join us!
