Weekend takeaway - Tooting (via Kilmington) / Friday night Feast

This week takeaway is another selfish one…. One of my favourite restaurants in london was Lahore Karahi, a Pakistani restaurant in the heart of Tooting. I’d go (usually on my own) as often as I could…. Sizzling mixed grills, aromatic curries and the most pillowy freshly baked breads. Oh and always mango lassi. Oh man. Salivating.

So on Friday and Saturday we’re going down that road. Excitingly I’m doing it this week with my friend Mina of Kilmington’s Khushi Kitchen who produces the best curries in Devon and keeps her porch absolutely loaded up with delicious treats. She runs an honesty system and it’s all fresh, authentic and really delicious. She’s going to be doing me some vegetable pakoras and something called ‘bhature’ bread which I’ve just tried for the first time. It’s amazing. To go with that I’m firing up the grills again and doing some smoky makhani dhal, lamb karahi, barbecued chicken tikka and saffron rice…. It’s a feast. All for £20.

We really are limiting numbers this week as we have our first feast of the season on Friday (still some tickets available), so get it quick for a Tooting/Kilmington mash up! Book here.
