One of my favourite restaurants in London was Lahore Karahi, a Pakistani restaurant in the heart of Tooting. I’d go (usually on my own) as often as I could…. Sizzling mixed grills, aromatic curries and the most pillowy freshly baked breads. Oh and always mango lassi. Oh man. Salivating.
So for January we’re going down that road. I’m firing up the grills and doing some smoky makhani dhal, lamb karahi, barbecued chicken tikka and saffron rice…. It’s a feast.

I love negroni at any time and the Bar Buoy pre-made bottles make it ever so convenient - it's always the perfect aperitif. Made with equal parts of Punt e Mes vermouth, Campari and Salcombe Gin.
