Takeaways are BACK!
Well… that’s the crazy summer season done… we made a conscious decision not to do takeaways across the summer as we just had too many plates to juggle with our various events. Now though, we’ve got a bit of room to breathe and think about a bit of diversification- this means TAKEAWAYS!
We were blown away with how popular they were last winter and we’ve lost track of the number of people who’ve asked when we starting up again. Well wonder no more because the answer is ‘This Friday!’
We’ve tweaked the logistics slightly so that we can spend more time and money making your takeaway the best it can be so for old and new followers here are the salient details:
We use the same suppliers, cooking techniques and attention to detail as we do for our feast nights.
All takeaways are collection only from High Grange (we will be doing a Lyme collection point at some time in the future).
All takeaways are prebook only- on our website- £20/portion (min 2 portions) - link below
Collection is strictly Friday evenings 5pm-7pm.
All takeaways are provided chilled, with heating instructions.
All takeaways have at least 3 days shelf life so that you can enjoy on Saturday or Sunday if you’re out on Friday.
Minimum order is for 2 portions - we do generous portions and this will feed 2-3 people… you can freeze or refrigerate whatever you don’t eat- and enjoy the best leftovers whenever you like!
MENU FOR FRIDAY 22nd September
Sichuanese Feast
BBQ Kung Po chicken
Dan Dan noodles
Fish fragrant aubergines
Jasmine rice
Boneless chicken is marinated, smoked and grilled over charcoal and dressed with lip-smacking Sichuan peppercorns and peanuts. Then, authentic wheat-flour noodles with soy, sesame and seasoned with spicy beef. ‘Fish fragrant aubergines’ aren’t ‘fishy’ but silky, fragrant and utterly delicious. With all that umami flavour, chilli and zing, all you need along side is fluffy jasmine rice.
Book here.
As our jumpers are on and the sandals are being stored away, we also thought we’d respond to the questions we are getting about our Winter Feasts. We’ve decided that we are only going to do two Feasts this Winter, and they are our favourites - our Christmas Feast where Luke cooks all the best festive food (which does not include turkey!) and Burns night, our annual kilt, poem and whisky outing…
Our Christmas Feasts are on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th December, and Burns night is on the birthday of the Bard as ever! The full menus are on the booking pages here.
Finally, Sara is planning a schedule of beautiful festive wellbeing and creative events, all in our cosy Shippen barn and in our lovely woodland (more on this soon!) with a focus on restoration and FUN! We’ll be announcing those shortly.
In the meantime, we are excited about the second of our series of Escapes, called Bloom which is a pre-natal retreat for pregnant mums. We’ve brought together a gorgeous day of pre-natal yoga, hypnobirthing and massage, breathwork and a beautiful maternal ceremony, and Luke is preparing the most delicious and nutritious lunch. Its on Friday 9th November and you can book here.
We’ll soon be sending you some delicious Autumnal recipes to keep you warn and cosy, and we hope to see you soon!
