‘I’m writing this in the middle of UK BBQ week bathed in glorious Devon sunshine, tired but happy after a weekend of BBQ classes and events.
I wanted to offer all of our friends and subscribers a little gift in the hope that you might be persuaded to come and join us here in our idyllic little corner of woodland, chickens, dogs, cats, veg beds and fire pits. Although we turn our hand to catering, pop ups, feasts, takeaways, content creation and loads of other things - our full day Fire School is the endeavour of which we are most proud. It’s a magical day - whether the sun shines or not but when it does! Paradise!
I get a bit emotional about these courses. I love them. It’s weird. I really love seeing people gently ease themselves in, maybe a bit nervous at first but swigging cider round a feasting table with new mates by the end. We have almost as many women as men which I’m proud of- cooking outside is for all… no BBQ Bros here…

“We cooked over so many different types of fire, and boy was the food incredible. Luke uses all local produce, or produce from people he has a first name relationship with, and is very proud of the provenance. I arrived hungry and left feeling stuffed. Lots of delicious food throughout the day, and an incredible feast at the end. Highly recommend.”
