Autumn Events & the Return of High Grange At Home Takeaways!
As Autumn approaches, we turn our minds to the colder months. As the darkness approaches, there is still light - twinkly candles and fairy lights, the log burners in the Shippen, and fire pits galore. We are outside lighting fires still as much as we can, warming ourselves in the clothes we wear, the low and slow cooking, stews and soups and the drinks - smoked pine negronis and warmed ciders, filled with herbs and spices.
There is much to look forward to - Sunday pub lunches, long dog walks along the South West Coast Path (we aim to do this more now the kids are older), pumpkin patch picking (we’ll be heading to Castlewood this year), trick or treating, and a Christmas full of family and love, with the obligatory Boxing Day sauna and swim which has become a brilliant new family tradition. And if you are doing dry January like Sara will, Burns night ends an otherwise quiet month with gusto.
So, we invite you to our Autumn and Winter events. Full of fires and food, generosity and a warm welcome. We’ll get you outside as much as we can so bring those long johns…
AND we’ve decided to bring takeaways back for those who don’t want to leave their comfy sofa!
So get your comfy socks on, light that smelly candle, and plan some Winter warming events!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
